- This course focuses on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required in modern clinical laboratories.
- DMLT students learn to handle laboratory equipment, collect and process samples, and perform routine diagnostic tests in areas such as haematology, clinical biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, and blood banking.

Course Details:
- Duration: 2.5 years.
- Mode: Classroom learning with practical training.

- Clinical Biochemistry – Blood sugar, cholesterol, kidney & liver function tests

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates who have completed 10th pass or 10+2 / Higher Secondary from a recognized board are eligible to apply for the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) course.
- Students from any subject background (Science / Arts / Commerce) are eligible.
- Biology is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Candidates must be medically fit.
- Students without a science background will receive basic foundation training during the course.
- Communication skills for healthcare settings.
- Chemical basis of laboratory tests.
Curriculum Structure – Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
- The DMLT program follows a structured year-wise academic system combining foundation subjects, core laboratory sciences, practical training, and internship is mandatory.
First Year – Foundation (Common for All Diploma Health Courses)
- The First Year includes basic science subjects that are common for all diploma healthcare courses.
